International Nurses Day celebrations at Rashid Hospital

Dubai, UAE (13th May 2021): On the auspicious occasion of International Nurses Day 2021 & Eid Al Fitr, around 1500 nurses, doctors and medical staff members at Rashid Hospital were honoured at a special event. National Air Cargo Group and Dubai Health Authority once again joined hands to recognise the sacrifice and efforts of health workers in Dubai.

Hamad Al Attar, Director of Finance & Administration, Rashid Hospital & Mr. Jacob Matthew, President & Board Member, National Air Cargo Group, Mr. Alan White, Chief Growth Officer, National Air Cargo Group, welcomed the nurses and medical staff, presented them with flowers and specially designed commemorative mementos. Staff members were also visited at their respective workstations, wards, ICUs and presented with flowers and mementos. Nurses, doctors and entire staff members were also treated with ice cream at a special organised ‘ice cream truck’ outside the venue. This year, the celebrations also coincided with Eid-Al-Fitr festivities.

“We highly appreciate this gesture and our staff members looked forward to this year’s celebrations. We acknowledge the efforts of our team members and this is a true recognition for their service”, said Hamad Al Attar, Director of Finance & Administration, Rashid Hospital, Dubai.

These frontline workers are a source of hope and support, especially in these stressful global pandemic situations. We salute their hard work, dedication and selfless service to humanity. We also acknowledge the leadership of Dubai Health Authority for joining hands to organize such a unique and meaningful initiative”, commented Mr Jacob Matthew

Members from the Dubai health authority, Rashid Hospital management, National Air Cargo group coordinated the entire event.
